Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1938 and its subsequent sale on 30 August 1938.

Reference 491 was in production from 1936 to 1939. The present watch is believed to be one of seven examples of this reference in gold to appear in public to date.
