Cal. 17''' nickel-finished lever movement, 29 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, micrometer regulator, minute repeating on two polished steel hammers onto two gongs, the silvered matte dial with applied gold baton numerals, gold dauphine hands, subsidiary seconds, in circular case with stepped bezel, the snap on back with engraved inscription To Philip in friendship and with affection Elizabeth and Emmanuel 26.2.1973, repeating slide in the band, case and movement signed by maker, dial signed by maker and retailer

Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the movement of the present watch in 1930. It was encased in 1965 and sold on 21 April 1971. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe fitted presentation box and short length of gold chain.

The present watch is the first and so far only example of reference 795/1 to appear in public to date. This reference, 795/1, is a variation of the more common reference 795 fitted with an up and down indicator. Both models were in production during the 1960s.
