Lot Essay

The Bubble Red Cross model was made in a limited edition of 20 examples in white gold and 200 in stainless steel. Produced after the encounter of the renowned photographer Michel Comte, the ICRC and Corum, the Bubble Red Cross watches were sold at auction in Los Angeles for the benefit of the "People and Places with No Names" fund.

The "People and Places with No Name" project supported by Michel Comte on behalf of the ICRC originated from the book with the same title. Testifying from the photographer's travels with the International Red Cross, this deeply moving publication denounces the misery and suffering endured by the victims of war and violence.
