The gilt-finished fully jewelled two train lever movement separately wound by turning the crown to either side, bimetallic compensation balance, carillon minute repeating and en passant grande sonnerie striking on three polished steel hammers onto a gong, glazed dust cover, gold cuvette, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minute divisions, gilt paste-set hands, subsidiary seconds, in circular heavy case, the case with translucent red enamel on engine-turned background and pearl-set covers, the front centred by a polychrome enamel scene depicting a dancing couple in a classical landscape, the portrait of a lady to the reverse, champlevé red enamel and scroll and foliage decorated band, silence/sonnerie lever underneath the bezel, repeating push button in the band, case stamped and numbered, cuvette and dial signed
