Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1969 and its subsequent sale on 5 December 1969. It has never been offered in public before.

A small series of the "IOS" reference 3565/1 model was made by special order for IOS, the Investors Overseas Services mutual fund founded by Bernie Cornfeld and presented to their best clients, the members of the "IOS Million Dollar Association". Only few examples, such as the present watch, are known without the inscription "IOS" on the dial.
