The white enamel dial with Arabic date indication, days of the week, symbols of sun, moon, venus, mercury, mars, jupiter and saturn, the reverse with an aperture for the phases of the moon with lunar calendar, the functions set by depressing a small lever in the band while inserting the key in the winding square of a watch, unsigned

Lot Essay
The watch key with calendar and phases of the moon was invented by the renowned watchmaker Etienne Tavernier (1756-1839) in Paris who also worked closely with Abraham Louis Breguet.
