Cal. 19''' nickel-finished fully jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, wolf's tooth winding, minute repeating on two polished steel hammers onto two gongs, the gold cuvette with engraved inscription 10 April 1907 1971 Leonard B. Sax Charles N. Dietz Omaha, U.S.A. Charles Dietz Nelson 1933, the amber enamel dial with Breguet numerals, blued steel moon-style hands, subsidiary seconds, in circular case with finely blue champlevé enamel ornamented bezel, rim and pendant, the hinged back centred by inlaid red, yellow and blue enamel initials CND, repeating slide in the band, case, cuvette, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Certificat d'Origine et de Garantie, original fitted wooden presentation box and spare crystal. Furthermore delivered with the Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with enamelled monogram in three different colours to the back and bezel and bottom of the pendant ornamented with blue enamel in 1892 and its subsequent sale on 1 May 1907.

To the best of our knowledge, the present watch has never been offered at auction before and is thought to be one of less than 15 examples of this particular model to appear in public to date. Its rarity is further enhanced by the very good overall condition and the fact that it still retains the original certificate and box.
