John and Elizabeth Crooke acquired Kempshott House in 1778, and these tables are probably those listed in the hall in an inventory of 1789 which was made when the house was leased to the Prince Regent: "Two mahogany card tables, lined green cloth". Kempshott was demolished in the 1960s.
