Of rectangular shape, the hinged lid and sides inset with ivory panels, carved and pierced with a central cartouche depicting birds amongst blossoming branches, flanked by further smaller cartouches of figures before pavilions and crossing bridges, all on geometric grounds, the interior later lined with pink paper and with a later removable tray, the handle not illustrated
