Lot Essay

In Greek mythology Atlas was a Titan, son of Iapetus. He was condemned to support the heavens on his shoulders for the revolt of the Titans against Zeus. Perseus, to whom he refused hospitality, changed him by means of Medusa's head into the range of mountains that bear his name.
