The antique tripod replicates a 'Pompeian' bowl-topped jardiniere pattern retailed by the celebrated Neapolitan foundry Messrs J. Chiurazzi & Fils, whose catalogue for their etablissement Artistique Industriel issued c.1900 announced their role as Fournisseurs de Cours et Musees (cat. no. 494).
