Fluted cylindrical, with foiled cabochon sapphire thumbpiece and hinged cover, marked underneath and inside cover, further stamped under the base 'Cartier London' and with an indistinct inventory number perhaps 'H5341', stamped 'Pat. App. For' inside the cover, contained in a fitted case labelled 'Cartier 115 New Bond St.; Paris 13 Rue de la Paix and New York 553 5th Avenue'
