Each piece decorated with foliage and flowers and centering a later initial 'M' below a Royal Princess' coronet engraved on a plaque applied over 'C' cypher with a viscountesses coronet above, comprising:
A small coffee-jug with detachable ivory insulated handle, marked underneath, inside cover and on finial, the base further stamped 'Storr & Mortimer 243', 6 1/8 in. (15.9 cm.) high;
A cream jug with leaf-capped handle, marked underneath, 6 1/8 in. (15.9 cm.) high;
A sugar bowl with an overhead handle, marked on end, 3 3/8 in. (9.4 cm.) long
Two oblong lobed glass scent bottle with internal stoppers and screw-off covers, marked inside cover and on neck mount, 6 3/8 in. (16.2 cm.) high;
A similar pair, marked inside cover and on neck mount, 2½ in. (6.3 cm.) high;
An oblong lobed glass jar with a pierced cover, marked inside, 6 in. (15.2 cm.) high;
A shaving jug, on stand and with burner, with a hinged handle, fully marked, the base further stamped 'Storr & Mortimer 243', 6½ in. (16 cm.) high;
A pair of oblong lobed glass jars with silver covers, marked inside, 3¼ in. (8 cm.) long;
Another larger pair, marked inside, 7 in. (17.8 cm.) long;
Another pair, marked inside, 2 7/8 in. (7.4 cm.) square;
A single jar, marked inside, 5¼ in. (14.5 cm.) long;
A pair of jars with hinged locking covers, apparently unmarked, 3 in. (7.6 cm.) long;
A circular jar with a detachable cover and a conforming stand, marked on cover bezel and under stand, the cover apparently unmarked, the stand 5 3/8 in. (13.7 cm.) diameter;
A shaving brush, mark of Frances Douglas, London, 1851, 3½ in. (9 cm.) high;
Contained in a fitted brass-mounted rosewood case, with a single drawer fitted with various implements, the cover applied with a brass shield engraved with an initial 'M' below a Royal Princess' coronet; with a card printed 'Marlborough House' below a crown, inscribed in Queen Mary's hand 'Queen Mary bought this dressing service for Princess Margaret some day'; also with a typed letter outlining the early history of the service
