Vase shaped and on a stepped foot, applied with leaf and flower swags, one side with a rocaille shield, engraved with a crest, the pierced covers with a gadrooned rim and a scrolling finial, marked on side and cover bezel

The crest is that of Joel. (2)

Regularly used, along with other gold and silver-gilt, on the table in the Dining Room of the Private Apartment of H.R.H. The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon at Kensington Palace.
