Oblong and on four scroll feet, with an openwork gallery with a shaped gadrooned rim, with two silver-mounted glass jars and a pen rest, engraved with an inscription and a badge within Garter motto and below Royal crown, marked on back of gallery, on base and on silver-mounts
11¼ in. (28.5 cm.) long
weighable silver 28 oz. (885 gr.)
The inscription reads 'PRESENTED TO HER ROYAL HIGHNESS THE PRINCESS MARGARET ON THE OCCASION OF HER MARRIAGE 6th MAY 1960 BY THE ADMIRAL, OFFICERS AND ROYAL YACHTSMEN'

The badge is that of H.M. Yacht Britannia

Given on the occasion of the marriage of H.R.H. The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, to Antony Charles Robert Armstrong-Jones, Earl of Snowdon on 6 May 1960, by the Admiral, Officers and Royal Yachtsman of the H.M. Yacht Britannia.
