Circular and with two applied bead and foliage handles, with a beaded rim and a plain detachable liner, engraved with a crest within a Garter motto, each piece marked on side
8¾ in. (22 cm.) wide
86 oz. (2,665 gr.)
The crest is that of Arkwright as granted to Sir Richard Arkwright (1732-1792) inventor of the revolutionary spinning machine commonly refered to as the 'Spinning Jenny.' The crest is presumably for one of his descendants. (2)
