Almost certainly acquired by Princess Beatrice (1857-1944), who lived at Kensington Palace between 1901 and 1940, and by descent to her son;
Alexander Albert Mountbatten, 1st Marquess of Carisbrooke (1886-1960), Apartment 10, Clock Court, Kensington Palace between 1956 and 1960.
Purchased from the Estate of the Marquess of Carisbrooke in 1960 for H.R.H. The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon.

Placed in the Garden Room of the Private Apartment of H.R.H. The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon at Kensington Palace.
