A William IV mahogany and brass-mounted striking table clock
Circa 1830
The case surmounted by a brass pineapple finial, with baluster finials to the front, the sides with devil mask and rope-twist loop handles above silk-backed tracery arch sound frets, on part-fluted ball feet, the white painted Roman convex dial with pierced and blued steel spade hands, the eight day twin chain fusee movement with rectangular plates joined by four pillars, anchor escapement and strike on gong, with pendulum holdfast to plain back plate; with pendulum and key, with a later paper property label for Princess Margaret

Displayed on the bureau-plat in the Garden Room of the Private Apartment of H.R.H. The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon at Kensington Palace.
