Rectangular with shaped pediment, the icon depicting Christ Pantocrator, with engraved parcel-gilt oklad, enamelled text, and cloisonné enamel basma and halo, the case with hinged doors enamelled inside and out, on stippled ground, hinged catch and suspension ring, marked on lower rim of icon and reverse and loop of case, in fitted case stamped A La Vieille Russie
