South Staffordshire, circa 1760
Tapering oval, the cover with a scene of a courting couple within gilt scrollwork, the sides with landscape vignettes and gilt scrolls, with a gilt metal-mounted rim
2 3/8 in. (60 mm.) wide
Provenance
Displayed in a cabinet on the piano in the Drawing Room of the Private Apartment of H.R.H. The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon at Kensington Palace.
