Lot Essay

H.R.H. The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, was given the ten-acre plot on the caribbean island of Mustique as a wedding present from the Honourable Colin Tennant (Lord Glenconner) in 1960. Oliver Messel designed several of the houses on the island and the present works are architectural studies for Princess Margaret's villa 'Les Jolies Eaux'.
