A George III mahogany and brass-mounted striking table clock

The bell top case with foliate cast urn finials, brass side handles above flowerhead and trellis-work silk-backed sound frets, with caryatid mounts trailing flowerheads to the front angles and running swag mounts to top and base, with foliate cast quarter frets and brass lining to front door, on bracket feet, the dial with foliate scroll spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, plain silvered centre signed Benj:n Ward/LONDON, date aperture below, pierced and blued steel hands, the arch with strike/silent ring, the eight day twin wire fusee movement with rectangular plates joined by five pillars, now with anchor escapement, strike/trip repeat on bell, the back plate with engraved borders and central flowering basket, now with later pendulum holdfast; with pendulum and key, and with a later paper property label for Princess Margaret
