Displayed in the Hall of the Private Apartment of H.R.H. The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon at Kensington Palace.

Lot Essay
The statue was first recorded in 1704 when it was in the Villa de Medici in Rome. It was moved to the Uffizi, Florence in 1787, after which time numerous copies and interpretations were executed.
