Born in 1931 Knapp Fisher studied graphic design and worked in exhibition design and theatre design and as a scenic artist. His name has become synonymous with Pembrokeshire landscape painting. He is now one of Wales's’ most popular and well-known artists and his work is represented in many public and private collections. These include the National Museum of Wales Cardiff, The National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth and The Contemporary Art Society of Wales. He was elected a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy in 1992.
