THREE VARIOUS PAIRS OF SCISSORS
The first pair with silver-gilt handles, contained in a fitted Mappin & Webb case, the case labelled in gilt 'RE-OPENING AT ELSTREE OF THE HABERDASHERS ASKE'S GIRLS' SCHOOL BY HER ROYAL HIGHNESS THE PRINCESS MARGARET, COUNTESS OF SNOWDON, ON 1ST OCTOBER 1974'; the second steel and contained in a fitted Asprey & Co., case; the third with silver handles, contained in a fitted Garrard case, labelled 'FERODO LIMITED CAERNARVON 16TH MAY 1962' (3)
Provenance
The first pair of scissors were presented to H.R.H. The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon on the occasion of her visit to open Haberdashers' Aske's Girls School on 1 October 1974, following a lunch held at Haberdashers' Hall, Staining Lane, London.

The third pair of scissors were presented to H.R.H. Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon on the occasion of her visit to open the new works of Ferodo Limited, Caernarfon. Princess Margaret lunched at the Royal Hotel, Caernarfon and visited Caernarfon Castle. She then had tea with the Mayor of Caernarfon.
