Lot Essay

Penn notes: 'I remember this son of an Andagalimp chieftain as a vain young fellow. His face is heavily covered in soot, his body greased with pig fat. Visible indication of his wealth is given by the pit-pit slats worn down his chest like a social bank account, showing his past contributions toward pay-back ceremonies.' (Worlds in a Small Room, p.66)
