A fine Emile Jumeau Premier pressed bisque Bébé Size No.7
with fixed bleu yeux fibres, shaded lids, delicate light brows, closed shaded mouth with slight gap, applied pierced ears, original blonde skin wig on cork pate, eight ball-jointed papier-mache body with fixed wrists, dressed as a baby with cotton robe, underclothes, cape and bonnet, circa 1880 --19in. (48cm.) high, impressed 7 E J and Medaille d'or blue ink stamp to lower back (thighs and lower legs replaced, damage at top of body around neck, later nail varnish applied to hands, needs restringing)
