Inspite of ill health, she continued to attend meetings and undertook long distance travel until very recently. She was an inveterate seeker after quality and the unusual, particularly in the realm of dolls' houses and their furnishings. As will be seen her collection of dolls' house dolls was extensive, mainly concentrating on dolls with moulded hair, particularly men. She was a generous and welcoming hostess and liked to share her collection with friends and enjoyed the companionship of fellow enthusiasts. Olivia Bristol
