A Sonnenberg papier-mache headed dolls' house doll
with blue painted eyes, brown hair wig in plaited bun with curls coming down the side of the face and jointed wood body wearing brown velvet jacket, printed floral cotton skirt and crochet cap 6in. (15cm.) high (slight cracking to face and missing foot); and a 'Rosée Printaniére - L.Eeckelaers' card box holding a dried sprig from Anna Pavlova's bouquet (2)

Provenance
Written in ink on the bottom of the box 'Palace Pier Brighton - 'Une belle rose' from Anna Pavlova's bouquet, given me 'pour ma mére' by Madame herself June 10th 1920.' The doll was kept in the same box, dressed by Aunt Polly's mother when 13 in 1849. The rose was given to a Mrs Slater.
