NO. 9 OF 15 COPIES, originally published in Cricket in six parts in early 1900. This small but important history, in Merritt and Hatcher's minute print, reproduces contemporary match reports in chronological order, and also reprints the laws of 1744, ending with brief biographical notes. Charles Frederick Adamson, to whom this copy was given, was the dedicatee of Curiosities of First Class Cricket (see next lot). Wynne-Thomas p. 18; Padwick 865.
