PRESENTATION COPY [to W.G. Grace] (preface leaf inscribed "with the author's compliments and regards" in purple ink; sold by Bearne's, Exeter, Important Cricketing Books from the Collection of Dr. W.G. Grace, 11 July 1996, lot 57). Page 57, which states "The [1871] season was remarkable for introducing to the Nottingham public Mr. W.G. Grace", has the corner turned down, presumably by Grace himself. Padwick 2503.
