Following much the same format as the first, it includes a section on "The Cricketers of England by Stephen Stumps" (pp. 80-88) and an article headed, "Will the All England Eleven come out?" (p. 73). Thompson played for the Eighteen of Victoria against England in the match that began on 1st January 1862, the first ever between an England team and an Australian colony. Padwick 3377.
