ONLY YEAR OF ISSUE. The publishers, Cohen, Harris, were "wholesale and retail ironmongers and importers of cricketing materials" in George St., Sydney. Their comprehensive guide included reports on town and country clubs, intercolonial and "semi-colonial" matches, and the scores of the Australian Eleven in Australia, New Zealand, England and America. Among "Incidents and Curiosities" is the note of "The largest score ever recorded, 1238 for 9 made by the Ulster club against Macquarie on Moore Park over four consecutive Saturdays, after which "the Macquarie thought it was time to abandon the game. Many doubt this match ever being played, but on reliable authority we are assured of it being a fact". The copy at Lord's was issued in purple wrappers. Padwick 3372.
