St. Ivo and the Ashes: A Correct, True and Particular History of the Hon. Ivo Bligh's Crusade in Australia
Sydney: Australian Press Agency, [1883]. 8vo., [ii], 22p. with one preliminary and one end advertisement leaf, 11 photo-lithographic plates after Massie (small hole in title, plate 7 slightly soiled), contemporary red cloth, upper cover titled in gilt, floral endpapers, original front wrapper bound in (extremities rubbed, front free endpaper detached, wrapper slightly damaged at outer margin). Provenance: Christopher R. Mood (several signatures in crayon, one dated Paramatta, Sept. 1883, that on title largely erased; with notes in his hand on versos of plates 8-11).
THE RARER ISSUE WITH SYDNEY IMPRINT, UNRECORDED BY PADWICK. Mood's notes carefully record batting "Averages of Australians", the states they played for, and "Averages of Australians' bowling against Hon. Ivo Bligh's English team 1883". cf. Padwick 4408.
