SCORE CARD
Visit of the English (Marylebone) Cricket Team to Hobart, match played on January 24, 25 and 27, 1908
Hobart: Mercury Print, 1908. 8vo., double-page scorecard, unused, with short biographies of "The English Players" on separate sheet, sewn into modern green cloth folder, gilt title on spine.
Played at Hobart, this was the second of two matches against Tasmania. Major Trevor gives an account of the drawn match (With the M.C.C. in Australia, ch. xiii, pp. 122-129), noting the extreme rivalry between North and South. "In the first match played at Launceston Tasmania was represented by seven Northeners and four Southerners: in the return match by nine Southerners and two Northeners. Inability to play was not a factor in this rather quaint problem".
