Two fine satsuma vases
Meiji period, Ogurisu zo and Shuzan mark
An oviform openwork vase and cover, pierced and moulded as a bamboo basket, the upright handle shaped as a cloth knotted at the top, finely enamelled to the sides with a millefleur pattern above a group of butterflies, 19 cm. high; and a square baluster vase, finely enamelled to the sides with figure scenes and birds amongst dense foliage, the flat shoulder wtih spirally painted floral panels below the short everted neck, 24.5 cm. high (2)
