Painted in turquoise enamel around the gently curving cavetto with eight roundels of Islamic calligraphy alternating with Islamic characters, between continuous borders of inscription, all encircling larger calligraphy within the central medallion, the rim with iron-red double lines, and the exterior with two iron-red looped ribbon motifs, black speckles
