Painted to the centre in iron-red, green and yellow enamels with four carp swimming among aquatic weeds, surrounded in the well with four cartouches of symbols between flower sprays, the everted bracket-shaped rim encircled by a scrolling meander of peony, repeated to the exterior, supported on five short feet, small rim restorations and crack
