The musicians shown kneeling, one playing the qin, the others a lute-like instrument, a hand drum and the cymbals, dressed in a dark red wide-sleeved tunic with padded hems tucked inside a black skirt, the hair drawn up high under a guan hat, the instruments and skin covered in white slip and traces of pale ochre pigment, some restoration
