Carved with archaic characters divided by four triple lines: 'This ring is made for the long life of your children and grandchildren. Having an impressive appearance with aspirations, one shall be strong and firm. I wish you peace and happiness for the present pureness in the autumn of life. When young, one grows bamboo, when the spirit is shaped one follows the old sages'.
