Lot Essay

This jazz age depiction of the Eiffel Tower was completed in 1925. In this print the tower, with its cubist facets, rears over Paris. In America, similar scenes were made by John Marin, whose Woolworth buildings of 1913 similarly illustrates the downtown monument in movement.
