Lot Essay

The allegory of Hope is often depicted with an anchor an image that personifies Hebrews 6:19, Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which enters in that within the veil. It is likely that this image was derived after a print source, a common practice for schoolgirls.
