Tasting Note: The vineyards is 3.52ha, the vines are old, with an average of 51 years. In 1997 the yield was 20.98hl/ha and production was 673 cases, well under half the average. The wine was fairly deep, purple-tinged; the initial impact was somewhat disappointing but it opened up, deep, rich, mulberry-like; good concentration and length, oak, quite a bite, well endowed with tannin and acidity.
