With slender tapering blade formed in two stages, stamped with a series of letters within the short fuller on both sides of the forte (light pitting) and struck with bladesmith's mark, a fleur-de-lys and coronet on both sides of the ricasso, plain hilt of rounded bars including quillons with trumpet-shaped tips, lower ring-guard filled with a pierced sprung-in plate (chipped), knuckle-guard rising to a stylised monster terminal, inner-guard involving a fluted leaf-shaped plate rising from the base to join a recurved diagonal loop, and spirally moulded grip bound with iron and brass wire.
