A GERMAN BLACK-AND-WHITE BURGONET
Early 17th Century
With two-piece skull embossed with a fleur-de-lys over each side, drawn-out to form a sharply up-turned pointed peak and the two halves joined by a cabled high comb, fitted with a pair of pierced hinged cheek-pieces (associated), neck lame and plume-holder, and with recessed borders and turned cabled edges throughout.
