A GERMAN TRIPLE-COMBED MORION (JAGDHELM) IN MID-16TH CENTURY STYLE
19th Century
With hemispherical skull formed in one piece, embossed with three boldly dentated low combs, the base drawn-out to a narrow down-turned brim struck with spurious Augsburg and Vienna arsenal marks, fitted with a pair of hinged plates over the ears and with plume-holder at the rear, turned cabled edges, and pierced with pairs of stitch-holes for attaching a fabric cover.
