A GERMAN MILITARY WHEEL-LOCK PISTOL
circa 1580
With 18th Century rounded barrel inscribed 'Co Pistvarmi(u?)g', plain flat lock with flat wheel-cover, sliding pan-cover with button release, safety-catch (side-nails replaced), ebonised wooden full stock carved with foliage about the barrel tang and ramrod aperture (small repairs, the pommel replaced), iron trigger-guard and side-plate (belt hook missing), and iron-tipped wooden ramrod.
