Lot Essay

The barrelsmith Pietro Moreto(1) could be a 'Pietro son of Bernardino' documented in Brescia in 1667 and 1669. Alternatively he may be another, of the same name, whose descendants were active in Brescia between 1657-1672. See Nolfo di Carpegna, op.cit., p. 200
