A FRENCH CHARLES X HUNTING SWORD
circa 1826-30
With double-edged hollow-ground blade flattened at the forte, etched and gilt with trophies-of-arms and foliage over its lower half on both sides and signed 'Manufacture de Klingenthal, Coulaux Fréres' (previously blued), brass hilt cast in relief, including short quillons with dogs' head terminals and boars' head trophies in the centre, fluted fruitwood grip, and in its original scabbard.
