With signed iron barrel formed in three stages with turned punched girdle, acutely belled muzzle and the breech struck with maker's mark, barrelsmith's mark of Jean Leclerc (Neue Støckel 7249) and another, 'CB', plain bevelled lock inscribed 'Manufre a Versailles' and struck with the mark of Daniel Bouyssavy (Inspecteur de Versailles 1793-1807), (reconverted from percussion), figured walnut full stock, chequered butt, plain iron mounts including trigger-guard with long urn-shaped finial, faceted baluster ramrod-pipe, and iron ramrod.
